Populations in Motion: The Asylum Seekers

Posted by omeditors | Posted in Uncategorized | Posted on 24-04-2016

The rise of the Islamic State and the troubles in Syria in recent years have given birth to a modern wave of refugees and asylum seekers. Whats more, all the signs seem to indicate this is not a short-term phenomenon on project-syndicate.org. Quite the opposite. What the world is facing is a more or less continuous out-migration from the region that will be with us for a long time.

In an opinion essay published on September 299, 2015, George Soros takes a crack at drafting policy solutions to deal with the asylum seekers. Such policy is badly needed. More refugees are entering Europe every day.

George Soros describes the current refugee situation as chaotic, and he traces the chaos to the lack of any comprehensive plan for dealing with asylum seekers. They come streaming out of Syria and other Middle Eastern countries. When they enter Europe, whether through Greece, Italy or another nation, that society must set up its own policy based on its own interests. The result is a patchwork of rules on biography.com that leaves refugees uncertain and confused. They are panicky as they struggle to cope with the laws and customs of a new country.

The end result, Soros suggests, is that a “management problem” has deteriorated into a full-scale political crisis. The key to solving it is to create an international plan that includes all of the nations of the European Union. Soros goes on to caution us that such a plan must have human rights as its core value. That is the only way to assure a fair and effective process for integrating refugees into European society.

A Europe-wide plan will require a huge commitment. George Soros estimates the nations must be willing to accept a million refugees per year. Funding for health care and education alone will run 15,000 euros per person annually for the first two years. Moreover, this needs to be brought together under the direction of a single international agency that is intended to be permanent. It must work with countries outside Europe as well. A global approach is vital since refugees are a global problem. There are some other essential features of the plan put forward by George Soros. A single management agency is needed so rules and procedures are consistent so that refugees aren’t in a continual state of panic. Europe also needs “safe paths.” What Soros means here is clearly defined routes that will take asylum seekers from their point of origin to their destination. Finally, support and assistance needs to start in the country of origin.

George Soros is famous for his combination of entrepreneurial success and liberal values He is an American immigrant of Jewish-Hungarian descent. Besides being a billionaire, Soros is an author, inventor and philanthropist. He is a strong proponent of open borders and has become a lightening rod for many people who take issue with his more radical ideas.

Adam Sender Loves Art And He Is Happy To Share It With Others

Posted by omeditors | Posted in Uncategorized | Posted on 30-11-2015

There are many people who appreciate art, and who would love to be able to do something more than to just admire it, and those people should consider what they could do to become an art collector. Art collectors have to put in a lot of work to become good at what they are doing, but when one appreciates art enough, then any amount of work that they put into purchasing the pieces that they want will be worth it. And any amount of work that they spend training themselves to become an art collector will be more than worth it in the end when they have a beautiful collection of art for themselves.

Adam Sender might have spent a lot of time on purchasing the art in his collection, and his strategies for picking up each piece might have taken a lot of work, but he is happy with what he has done, now. He has made a beautiful collection of art, and he is happy and willing to share it with others. He has put it on display in a Miami home that he was waiting to sell, and now others can appreciate the beauty in each of the pieces that he was able to come by. He didn’t want to hide the art away, and he made a generous decision when he decided to put it all out on display.

It takes a ton of work for one to get to be good at art collecting, and not many people would be able to succeed at doing something like that, but, if one loves art enough, then it might be worth it for them to give it a shot. It couldn’t hurt anything for them to just set out and try to collect some beautiful pieces for themselves.

The Winds of Change Blew Over Adam Sender

Posted by omeditors | Posted in Uncategorized | Posted on 25-11-2015

Being high and low has not resulted in complete devastation as some would think. Adam Sender has lost some material grip on life lately, having to close his offices of Exis Capital and to sell some 400 pieces from his gargantuan Contemporary Art Collection by some of the finest modern artists, numbering 139. The winds of change will blow on all entities no matter what station in life they have reached, no matter how big or small. The philosophical perspective shines through in Sender as he reflects on these recent new life prospects. “I grew up Jewish, but more and more I find myself embracing a Buddhist philosophy,” said Adam, now being five years short of 50. Still a young man, with such talent to amass great wealth and even more talent to spot great value in blossoming artists.

“All things must pass.” quoted Mr. Sender from the famous song by the late Beatle, George Harrison, another artist who found truth and light from within and without through self realization. It would seem that Adam Sender has evolved greatly from winning and losing and has found transcendence in all of these pages of life as they are turned through time. As he finds himself rather alone for the moment at the end of a marriage, he says he is still married to much of his art collection which was at just over 1000 pieces in the months before these changes he is facing recently. “I will still be lucky to live with a lot of art,” he mentioned as part of his huge collection, which is up for auction at Sotheby’s over a period of eighteen months, is estimated to bring $70 million to $80 million from the sales.

Of course many would be quite pleased with this sum of money after a sale of some of their finest assets and Adam Sender seems quite content with it as well, however, the sums of funds he once garnered where exponentially higher in the billions of dollars. Reaching deep within would be a best place to find oneself after such a change in the bank balance. It is true that art is long and life is short. He has one of the most acute abilities to recognize which artists have a long and valuable capacity as over two quick decades of Sender’s life, he purchased many of these pieces when the artist had just graduated from his training and after the second year or so, is when Adam Sender would purchase some of these artist’s works. He did this time after time with great success. Artists Cindy Sherman, Ed Ruscha, and Rosemarie Trockel are only a few of these artists whose works exploded in value over the past two decades and became part of the valuable Sender collection.

QNET: Empowering Many Africans Towards Financial Independence

Posted by omeditors | Posted in Uncategorized | Posted on 19-11-2015

Around the world, human beings strive to achieve material prosperity. As one of the modern vehicles used by families to attain financial independence, QNET offers new opportunities in many places afflicted by dire poverty. The health and wellness products promoted by the company continue to generate intense interest in Africa.

The Challenge of Poverty in Africa

Few locations today face the economic woes plaguing the African Continent. In 2014, the World Bank issued a report that described a grim picture of the sub-Saharan region. The analysts discovered that between 1993 and 2008, per capita income rose by only $20.00, from $742 to $762 annual income per person. Yet when they excluded the Seychelle Islands and South Africa from this analysis, per capita income in Sub-Saharan Africa actually declined during that time period, reaching a low of $556 yearly income per person. Africans in this region suffer from a multitude of difficulties which pose financial obstacles and hamper households from achieving their financial objectives: high unemployment rates, sporadic local conflicts, a lack of access to credit and many other challenges.

Providing A Helpful Vehicle For Self Employment

In this situation, enterprising Africans often search for reliable self-employment vehicles. One of the best opportunities exists through QNET, an Asian-based direct marketing company which promotes over 40 beneficial products. QNET has recently acquired many Independent Representatives in African nations, including countries such as Niger, Mali and Ivory Coast.

The self-employment opportunities offered by QNET hold great promise for Africans of all religious faiths seeking greater prosperity. Muslim distributors of QNET products in Africa recently assisted some needy families by offering food bags to them in honor of the Islamic month of Ramadan, for instance.

Products Appealing to Global Markets

QNET offers cutting edge products calculated to appeal broadly to global markets. In this respect, the company’s brands hold great appeal across the African Continent (and the world). QNET’s inventory includes health and wellness, personal care and home care products. The company also offers on line educational programs.

Over the course of its incredibly successful history, the direct sales company has periodically added additional items, a practice which helps attract new customers while expanding the income opportunities enjoyed by distributors. Just this year, for example, Independent Representatives in Africa began marketing LifeQuode, a revolutionary line of nutritional supplements: Kenta, Berry Xtreme and EDG3. The Regional General Manager of QNET MENA, Khaled Diab, observed: “Your health is your wealth and the key to fulfilling and meaningful life.” He expressed optimism about these products.

QNET will likely continue to remain a positive, beneficial influence in Africa. It offers life-enhancing products and greater economic opportunity.

Eric Pullier a good investment for CSC

The Computer Sciences Corporation, headed by CEO Mike Lawrie, is a multinational leader in providing business solutions and services through technology. Founded in 1959, their work spans many sectors of business, including aerospace and defense, chemical, energy, financial services, healthcare, technology and manufacturing, just to name a few. Much of their work is focused on cybersecurity and cloud computing, two areas that promise to impact the business world of tomorrow in a big way. How is CSC so successful? The answer is in the employees they recruit.

One high caliber innovator that was part of Computer Sciences Corporation was Eric Pulier. Known as a maverick in the computer software industry, Pulier has invested in four venture capitalist funds, been involved with over twelve business endeavors and sits on the board of two charitable organizations while being involved in multiple others. Mr. Pulier does not just have a good business mind but possesses awesome intellectual capabilities as well. Nothing illustrates the diversity of his genius better than the fact that while at Harvard he studied not only computer science, in which he has sixteen patients, but also English and American Literature as well as Visual and Environmental Studies. On top of his business, philanthropic and intellectual successes, Pulier is also proudly a family man as he has four children. The ability to attract well rounded employees who excel in the professional sphere is crucial to CSC’s success.

CSC acquired Pulier’s company ServiceMesh, a cloud platform that drastically lowered the cost of IT help to businesses by merging the IT services with cloud computing, in 2013. At the time, the acquisition was big news in the business world that helped CSC continue to provide excellent services in the technology sector. While Pulier himself left CSC in 2015, his work has undeniably added value to CSC.

The future looks bright for CSC as they recently won a ten year contract with the federal aviation administration to help consolidate data centers and help store information using cloud computing. CSC continues to collaborate with high powered players in the technology industry as they will work together with Microsoft and Amazon to complete the project for the FAA. Much like its work with Eric Pulier, CSC is again showing that its ability to attract business relationships with excellence is a key reason why it will continue to stay at the forefront of technology based solutions for years to come.

Dan Newlin, A Man of the People

Posted by omeditors | Posted in Uncategorized | Posted on 04-11-2015

Florida based attorney at law, Dan Newlin, has been a staple in Florida’s legal world for a number of years. Dan Newlin and his partners have helped recover a record number of dollars for Florida citizens who happen to find themselves in legal trouble. Dan Newlin and his team work directly on prominent personal injury cases as well as cases that involve accident victims. For a number of decades Newlin and Associates have gained a wealth of experience fighting for the right of injured accident victims as well as defending and protecting their families from overwhelming circumstances. Through their work, Newlin and Associates have recovered more than 150 million dollars for clients who have had their lives turned upside down from accidents and injuries. Newlin has a widely known reputation in Florida of not being afraid to go to court when needed to fight for the rights and funds that his clients deserve. Where most attorneys would turn away a potential client at a consultation, Newlin has a history of taking on major cases that other attorneys are too timid to try their hand at. Newlin also has a reputation for listening to his clients concerns as well as the details to their accidents more so than most attorneys. Newlin and Associates know that an accident or injury should not be considered a cash cow by attorneys but is actually a traumatic life changing event that should be handled with care and concern.

Dan Newlin has gone outside of the legal world and has made an impact within his community whenever he can. Children at the Arnold Palmer Children’s Hospital got a chance to see the humanitarian side of Dan Newlin when he teamed up with a local legend to bring joy to seven children who were battling cancer. Evander Holyfield joined Dan Newlin to participate in the Dan Newlin Miracle Project. Holyfield, Newlin, and all seven children along with their families got to spend time with both legends at Newlin’s office in Orlando for what was, without a doubt, an inspirational encounter. Newlin thought it would be a tremendous inspiration to have someone like Evander Holyfield come and interact with the children. The former undisputed boxer of the world knows what it’s like to be at a low position in their lives and make an unprecedented comeback when others assumed they would be down and out. These seven children needed to know that they could achieve the same feat and that Dan Newlin was there to inspire them through their recovery.

Dan Newlin has gone above and beyond what it means to be an attorney. Without being prompted to, Newlin has taken the concern that he has for his clients and has shared that with his community. Newlin’s reputation has given Attorney a good name and has forever shaped the lives of those in his community.

Some of Adam Sender’s Best Investments Are in Art

Posted by omeditors | Posted in Uncategorized | Posted on 22-08-2015

The hedge fund manager, now turned serious art collector, enjoyed the spotlight after exhibiting a pop-up gallery in one of his homes, featuring 70 selected works of art from his large private collection. The whole Sender Collection is worth approximately $100 million. Mr. Sender explained why the gallery was held in one of his Miami homes that had been for sale for quite some time, “We weren’t selling the house right away, so we thought it would be fun to test the waters with a pop-up exhibition… it’s something that my wife Lenore and I have thought about doing a few times, but the way we wanted to do it in the past would have cost an absolute fortune.”

The Art Basel shows give galleries a way to hold a cultural event that attracts collectors, curators, and museum buyers from around the world, looking for new and different contemporary and modern art. Adam Sender was quite disappointed that so many of the artworks in his collection were locked away, unable to be enjoyed. With his wife’s help, he hosted a relatively low-key pop-up exhibition, which he planned to share with his new friends and neighbors in the Miami area. (Instagram)To this end he employs art curator Sara Aibel, who has helped him discover great new artists such as Frank Benson and Diana Al-Hadid. She selected many of the works shown during Art Basel, including works by Rashid Johnson, Richard Prince, and Cindy Sherman. He named his exhibition “Home Alone,” and was pleased with the turnout to experience it. Mr. Sender had this to say about his pop-up show, “We live in Miami now, and we’ve made a lot of new friends down here. It’s fun to invite them, and other people who want to see the pieces, to come see the collection.”
